Sometimes you have to take things into your own hands...like when one of your closest friends doesn't like Halloween, but does love Colonial Williamsburg.
I couldn't let her son miss one of the great joys of childhood, so I picked up a tri-corner hat on a visit to Williamsburg earlier this year, and a Halloween costume was born.
I ran out of time to make a jacket and couldn't bring myself to order a polyester costume off the internet, so I found this adorable little jacket from Boden, grabbed some gold trim from the fabric store, and ta-da! Halloween costume.
The best part is that she can just take off the gold cord after Halloween and he can wear the jacket all year.
I am looking forward to seeing troupes of little ones in costume tomorrow night!
Oh my gosh. Are you the Great Pumpkin!?
