This weekend was the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I went for the first time last year and had a great time; happily, the 2011 festival did not disappoint.
It may be the most wholesome day of the year.
There are bluegrass bands, bins of herbs for sale,
and, of course, sheep,
and wool -- so much wool...
I was enamored, once again, with Sam Spun yarn (the yarn I used for my Boscage cowl), and I got to meet Sam herself! This year I got a lovely apricot color
along with an extraordinarily cute baby sweater pattern. I'm looking forward to getting started!
Wow, the festival looks like so much fun! I may have to put this on my calendar!

I'm so sad I missed it, but glad I was home to help my sister. Did your mom enjoy the event? Did you look at the garment entries and start thinking about what you'll enter next year?! I won't let you go another year without entering one of your amazing projects!
